Apartamenty przy Starym Rynku

This apartment was three rooms to let and a kitchen /toilet. It was right in the centre of the Jewish Quarter close to the New Synagogue (a derelict building that was once a swimming pool). So very much in historic Poznan. Close to the Market Square and shops etc in the city centre. It actually worked out fine. We were able to share the bathroom without any problems. There was a young woman who kept herself to herself. We briefly met other tenants of the building as a whole. Really a very interesting area. The whole are is being gentrified and renovated. (At night in the Market Square there are various Gentleman's Clubs operating. I would not have known if I had not popped out for a bottle of sparkling water). There is a Jazz Club nearby, various restaurants and cafes, and of course all the cafes in the markets square.

Disliked:We had problems locking and unlocking the doors. And in finding the light switches. Plus there was building work going on. On the morning we left the builders were working outside our window at 7:30 - 8::00 am. (We were up because we had to catch a flight). I believe the instructions to open the doors are incomplete. At the main door after putting in the.code you have to put in the bell symbol. We were let in by a tenant of the building. An older man with a younger lady. The key box outside the rooms was very difficult to unlock in the dark. It was like cracking a safe trying to get the tumblers aligned correctly. We also had problems putting the key in the lock after we left the rooms. Our room was Number Two which faced the inner court yard.

The apartment is very well equipped. Clean and tidy. The location is in old city center.

The apartment was very clean with great facilities. The location was also good. Overall we were satisfied.

Disliked:The entrance is a bit dodgy, the lights are a bit faulty and it gets a bit eerie at night, but once you get into the apartment all is forgotten. Also the beds were insanely bouncy, which I quite enjoyed, but my friends disagreed so it's worth mentioning.

Disliked:I would suggest to provide big towels for the shower and shower gel and shampoo in the shower.

Pleasant stay in a quiet area. There's a little kitchen which you can use and a kettle. The wifi / Internet was very slow even at opening web pages, but I saw the same issue in another Polish city too, so maybe that's all you get anyway.

Disliked:Wifi and only a small hanger to put a few items, for both people in the room

Location is perfect, 5min walk from main square

Disliked:The building is very old, entrance is very weird, stairs are 100years old with graffiti on the wall. Theye were renovating outside of the building so a lot of construction and dirt on the windows
